Testing, testing, 1,2,1,2...

Excited, but a little scared. I've been at Allergy UK headquarters today for the first in a series of focus groups. They have been organised so parents and children can test and give their feedback on what they really think about the product's and website, I've spent the last year and a half creating...and breathe. There's a few weeks of rigorous testing in hospitals and schools ahead, so I'll keep you posted on the results.
By hosting these focus groups, I hope to prove I can really make life a littler easier for children living with food allergies. There's no doubt that food allergies are serious and scary, but I thought why can't learning to manage them and keeping safe around food, be seriously good fun?
As well as the fun loveable characters, there are activites within the books to teach children to look out for allergens at all times. This activity improves their searching skills and teaches them to be aware of allergens, wherever their adventures may take them. So as children grow older, this vital routine will help keep them safe and reduce the risk of future reactions.
So onwards I go on my allergy quest, fingers crossed, the parents and children who are seeing everything in its early stages, will love being a part of developing this big adventure too.
