Allergy + Free From Show North

    Posted: 31 Oct 2013

What a weekend! It was our first time at the Allergy and Free From Show North in Liverpool and we couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome.

We were squeezed in between Udis, Doves and BFree. Such a great bunch to be amongst as we were flat out on both days, so a big thank you to Udis who kept our our energy levels up with some much needed gluten free goodies. They could probably see us dip, as we struggled with the double-sided tape on numerous occasions while making Paper Plate Mates. A Krypton Factor challenge in itself with the added pressure of a child eagerly staring at you as they waited for wings on their fruit bat!

Our stand was jammed packed with crafts, story time and children!! We had bags of fun and loved making Paper Plate Mate creations with you all. Here are just a few that we managed to photograph (shown above), so enjoy the hunt with your little ones.

BFree, thought I'd mention you also have a new fan - brought your Multigrain Wraps home for my niece and she loves them (nut, egg, gluten, soya and dairy free).

A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand. It's was a great chance to chat to you all and really encouraging to hear how the Allergy Adventures┬« books and stickers are helping your children to understand their allergies and learning how to stay safe around food. Here are a few messages we've received since the show:

"Thanks so much for all your advice & info. My daughter loved making Paper Plate Mates, and the story. I've just posted a thank you note on your Facebook page as I couldn't believe how much your story helped my daughter & I in such a short time. We talked about the story in the car on the way home, and my daughter had really heard & understood so much more than I imagined she would have."

"Thanks again for today - I love your business, such a great idea"

"When asked what was her favourite part of her trip to the Allergy Show my daughter's response was "story time" at the Allergy Adventures stand and she has read "My zoo adventure" book so many times that she nearly knows it off by heart. So thank you for making her day."

"Was lovely to meet u Saturday and have a chat at the show. My daughter has placed ur stickers on all her food already. I wish u the best of luck in ur future projects!!"

Amazing, thank you so much again for all your kind words. We're not sticking our feet up just yet, so keep a look out for more adventures... possibly with no double-sided involved. ;)
