WIN goodies!! Don’t miss the Allergy Adventures' Fact Find Hunt at the Allergy Show in Liverpool!

    Posted: 29 Oct 2015

I'm heading back up to Liverpool with my team next week for this year's The Allergy & Free From Show North. But this time things are going to look a bit different...

    Launching at the show
It's a year of firsts because it'll be the first time the show is in the brand new, 'state of the art' Exhibition Centre. It's literally next door to where the show has been in previous years but now there's loads more space, for lots more people. Brilliant.

Talking of space, another first in Liverpool this year is that I'll be launching the Allergy Adventures' Fact Find Hunt! Sponsored by Feel Free, granoVita, Nature's Path and Tesco Free From. Thanks to the amazing support from these guys, I'm bringing the fun we had in London to Liverpool. Children can join the hunt to track down clues I've hidden around the show AND... collect a free activity poster at the finish!

You can watch this video to get a glimpse of the action and see what's in store!

Here's how to get involved, and WIN goodies!
    1.
Kids pick up a clue map from the Allergy Adventures' stand, F28

    2. Hunt for four clues that are hidden on yellow posters around the show

    3. Fill in the answers on their clue maps and drop it back to us at the finish (back at stand F28!)

    4. Win goodies! Every child that enters the hunt will receive a free A2 activity poster when they reach the finish. And one lucky winner will also win a box of allergy-friendly craft made by Brian Clegg - bonus!

A little later than planned - making room for ghoulish grub!
The show usually falls on Halloween, but this year it's on the 7th-8th November 2015. Which means you can clear the calendar and get cracking in the kitchen on my new 'Zombie Freefrom Pasta Brains' recipe!

You've probably stocked up on safe sweet treats already (or non-edible treats if you've heard about the Teal Pumpkin Project - making the 31st October a bit more inclusive for children with food allergies). And sometimes finding safe chocolate and candy for trick and treats can be an allergen minefield, so I've created a spooky Halloween supper dish for you and the family to feast on that's dairy, nut, soya, egg, gluten and sesame free.

It's fun, simple to make, a little bit gruesome, but it includes hidden veg - beetroot! *Mwah ha ha ha* The perfect colour for brains, so I'm told. Get the kids involved and watch how to make it together here.

But back to the fun at the show...
It's not just the Fact Find Hunt that I've got planned to keep the kids entertained. On my stand (just in case... Allergy Adventures, F28) I'll be hosting story time at 11am, 1pm and 3pm everyday. Children can also get involved with fun crafts anytime they have a creative whim because all day, every day, I'll be doing just that too!

    Don't let your guard down
Whilst the Allergy & Free From Show North is jam-packed with amazing food for all kinds of dietary requirements, make sure you stay vigilant with what you and your children sample at the show. There'll be an estimated 10,000 visitors over the weekend and hundreds of brands will be offering taster samples. But not all of them may suit you or your child, so keep up the same safety practices and check labels or ask questions first, to ensure your trip is a safe and successful one.

Free tickets, get your free tickets!
If all that's got you gripped, you can download your free tickets to the show here and I'll look forward to catching up with you there!

    See you in November.

    Hailey :)
